Hi All,

I am a 32 year old male who has been steadily going bald for the past 5-6 years. I have a receding hair line and am very thin on top. Last week I decided it was time to shave my head, however I am really unhappy with the results. I didn't realise I was so thin on top!

Basically if I tilt my head down I have the ring around the top of my head and it looks really bad when i have light directly on my head. I shaved with a number 3, which is 10mm. I have really dark hair so the thinness is very pronounced. The hair around the sides is still pretty thick.

My question is, what to do now? Do I shave it even shorter (1 or a zero?) or would that make the top of my head more pronounced?

I also have a full beard that I maintain at about a 3mm length, if I was to go super short or even razored, should the beard remain or just go the stubble look.

Sorry if this is all a bit muddled, I am just reluctant to go even shorter without knowing what I am in for.

I can supply a picture of myself if this would be of help.

It will look better slightly shorter, if you do shave it down again, youll need to shave the beard down to stubble.

a picture would help though.

ive been in your shoes before, shaving further down kept me looking ok for 6 months (before more hair fell out)
