are there shampoos that can give the illusion of thicker hair? e.g: do not really make your hair thicker but make it appear as so?

by the way i don't have straight hair but curly hair.
I saw some videos of volumizing shampoos , seems all they do is curl your hair - is that it?

I have kinda wavy/curly hair and I tried the L'Oreal Thickening Shampoo. It didn't do much for me.

But, no shampoo has ever had much effect on my hair, I have really weird hair lol.
