Er, how is this going to be even remotely effective given you rinse it off before you leave the shower? It'll be about as useful an male pattern baldness treatment as Nizoral (which is not very useful).
this is very true, however, I'm not currently on any tropical treatments (yet) as I'm weighing up all the possible minoxidil solutions, and I find that Nizoral helps a great deal. It stops any irretation and, as i perceive, it reduces my daily hairfall considerably, because a couple of months ago I stopped using it twice a week, and I lost A LOT of hair.
I'm not going to say that I think putting finasteride into a shampoo is going to have much more of a benifit though, it just isn't on the scalp long enough to do anything. Although, there is the debate that finasteride is effective on DHT by 90% in the body when orally taken for 48 hours. So I guess if the shampoo is left on the scalp long enough whilst in the shower, it might resist DHT production for close to the period, and could be used as a twice a week treatment like Nizoral?
It's an interesting topic you've brought up though, it would be interesting to hear from anyone using the product. Though, you CAN acquire solution with 2% finasteride in with a dropper for tropical application. Which you could always use, and it would be cheaper than this.
Wouldn't Azelaic Acid be just as effective tropically? that is supposedly able to reduct scalp DHT by 90% and is more widely used in solutions than finasteride. One might be less irritable to the scalp maybe...
