hey guys,

i'm new around here. i'm a 26 year old, hispanic, male originally from miami, fl. however, currently living in south america (peru).

as you guys might have guessed, my hair has started thinning and this is a concern for me obviously. recently i've been shedding a lot of hairs daily and i've noticed that the hair on the middle of my head (the crown i suppose) is growing in shorter. also the part in my hair has become a lot more noticeable and there's a lot of stray hairs, like split ends.

i've attached some pictures for reference.

anyways, i've never really had a girlfriend, or gone on a date, or even kissed a girl, so the thought of losing my hair is pretty worrying for me. at least with my hair intact, i at least have the hope or illusion or dream that i could theoretically have a girl someday become physically attracted to me, even though it's unrealistic and unlikely to ever happen because well... let's just say i have issues. lots of issues. and i mean besides the hair loss.

however, with no hair, i feel that realistically i wouldn't even have that unrealistic hope anymore. now i know there are plenty of cool bald guys like jason statham, bruce willis, etc. i just don't think i'd look right. i'd look like a skinny, pale kid with cancer.

that's why i'd just rather and try to keep my hair for those off days when you actually have a good hair day and you look at the mirror and feel a little good about yourself. like enjoy the little things you know?

anyways, now that the depressing part is out of the way... i have previously tried finasteride, however i haven't really taken it seriously and in a dedicated manner as it should be until now (mainly because of the price).

however i have discovered the www.planetdrugsdirect.com website and i have found that i can buy a 6 months supply of finasteride for the same price i have been buying a 1 month's supply here in peru.

so i'm ready to seriously start treatment with this.

however, because i like keeping my hair medium length (i have this whole slacker/joseph gordon levitt/seth cohen thing going on) i prefer not to get into minoxidil or rogaine because first of all i wouldn't know how to put it in on my hair or head and i don't want my hair to be all greasy and i dont want all the other side effects i've read about.

so i'm basically thinking about going strong with the finasteride, taking vitamins with b complex, and using a good chemical free all natural shampoo and conditioner to get my hair healthy and probably hitting the gym and getting my body more healthy and to get my mind off stress and depression, which i guess is a factor in my hair loss, as well.

i was just wondering what good all natural shampoo and conditioner you guys recommend?

i was thinking about buying this:

i would appreciate any suggestions or comments! thanks guys.

I'm not much of a conditioner user..but here are some natural shampoo's I love:

http://www.peterlamas.com/h_chshampoo.php

http://andalou.com/index.php/haircare/age-defying/age-defying-shampoo.html

https://www.morroccomethod.com/en/shampoos

and a couple I'd like to try soon:

http://www.puradoroil.com/shampoo-hair-loss-prevention-p-117.html

Always shop around for whatever you end up using..you don't have to buy directly from the companies, although sometimes they have sales.

And btw..your hair looks very good still at the moment....

First off, that's a LOT of hair to be left behind in the shower. The tub should be slanted enough to allow water to easily and quickly drain, which SHOULD take nearly all of the hairs down with it. If you REALLY want to know how many you're losing in the shower, then purchase a plastic hair catch for the drain and use that. If I didn't use one, then I'd think that I literally lost 0 hairs in the shower.

As for shampoo conditioner, you should probably use Nizoral. Keto has been shown to have anti-androgen properties.

I also use Nixoin system 2 for my hair. I don't know that it actually DOES anything, but I like the way my hair feels after using it. The conditioner doesn't leave my hair dry (if you rub your hand on your hair after rinsing out the conditioner and it makes a squeeking sound, then it's too dry), so I use it.

Get to a doctor and tell them your losing a lot of hair in a diffuse pattern. Diffuse hairloss, especially hair that just started out of nowhere and is thick and healthy could be Telogen Effluvium. Do the pull test on yourself and see if it is what you have.

The doctor call look at the hair with a microscope and see if you have thinner hair popping in, this is DHT issue which means you should get on Propecia. Especially with a sexy mane of hair like yours. Seriously, jealous as hell, I never had thick hair and always envied it.

hey guys thanks for your replies. i think i'm gonna go with the nizoral shampoo.

any suggestions on the conditioner? thinking about pairing it with the avalon organics b complex conditioner if anything. or some of the others jacob suggested.

if i don't use conditioner my hair gets all frizzy and poofy.

also how do you use nizoral? i usually shampoo and conditioner everyday in the morning. otherwise i feel my hair get greasy and my hair itches.

is that bad? only time i don't wash my hair is when i shower twice in once day, like i won't wash my hair the second time (since it leads to more shedding).

can you use nizoral daily? or is this bad for your hair? does nizoral have side effects?

gonna combine this with the finasteride and hopefully we see some results.

also gonna look into what you mentioned night and see what the Doctor says. although i'm pretty sure the hair is growing in less thick.

thanks once again guys!

You do know Nizoral isn't natural..right?

Some..especially natural..shampoos may not require a conditioner afterwards even for those who usually need them. Or if you use any hair styling products(best to go natural there too) they can take care of your frizzy and poofy problem. Lamas makes a great hair gel: http://www.peterlamas.com/h_chcream.php Andalou and Morrocco Method have some good ones as well.
