I have been on minoxidil for about 1 month now... i definately have shed more hairs than normal, i think my hairline is a bit worse! I dont want to stop now but at the same time will only continue if you guys can tell me of experiences like this becoming positive??? There's no point in continuing if its just going to get worse... true?

Has anyone had personal experiences of this loss turning around and becoming a great success? Any responeses will be greatly appreciated!

hang in there!!! In my opinion, rogaine has made my hair darker, fuller and thicker. The regrowth hasnt been mindblowing, but theres been a little bit. All in all, its made a great cosmetic difference. My view was that HEY, i'm losing my hair anyways, it's going to be gone eventually. ..might as well try. Rogaine isnt making you lose your hair, your genetics are. A month is WAY too short of a time (is it alos possible that youre just studying your hair more closely because youre taking treatments now and its always looked like that?)Wait a year, you'll be glad you stuck with it and if you go off it..you'll still be bitter about your hairloss in 9 months most likely. THis way you have a really good chance of improving your hair quality and not having to ever deal with the "what if??" thought.

Good luck!!

But did you loose hair initially? I have a slight feeling its reduced over the last few days, but really what i want to know is have people had success after this shed or only gone downhill?

1) shed <-----click on it and read that.

also...think about it logically, if the stuff made people lose their hair, then rogaine wouldnt really be around after all these years would it??

I'll be honest with you...I dont think ive had a shed of any kind in 9 months. but then again, i usually keep my hair buzzed pretty short, so I probably wouldnt notice anyways. If you want..why not try a buzz? It makes your hair look thicker, makes it easier to apply rogaine and makes it easier to not notice sheds.

Good luck!!

Doesn't work anymore. I think they've upgraded the MB without reinstalling the keyword mod.....

I think i may be slowing down as far as shedding goes... but realistically what can i expect? from any successful people out there? I really am tempted to stop now as opposed to continue... keep the Proscar going (3 years now) and assume what i lost will grow back... i dont think its been too horrendous, but worrying none the less... especially when i think that i have kept it for those three years and this decision has potentially wasted all that time... anyone?

Melbs,

Stay on the minoxidil. It takes at least 3-4 months before you will see anything.

The shedding is normal, and VERY common.

Stick with it. Bite the bullet.
