Seasons and Hair loss

Is there such a connection? It seems like every winter, my hair seems a little more wirey and maybe a little thinner in spots. Is this just a natural/seasonal thing or something that I can associate with male pattern baldness?

Thanks!

Is the sun good for your hair then??? Is that why the Spanish and Africans generally have thick hair and less men hav male pattern baldness at a young age??

The weather doesn't have any affect on the permanent condition of your hair. male pattern baldness is 100% subdermal, so the actual condition of your individual hair strands is irrelevant. Hair has been observed to grow slightly quicker in sunlight but nothing more. The condition of your hair in winter might just be due to the harsh weather. Mine always curls up a little at the front in cold weather.
