scalp irritation

i was just wondering why a person's scalp gets dry and irritated once male pattern baldness starts?

i cant seem to get mine under control and i've tried many different products. Nizoral 2%, T/gel, Head and Shoulders, and a few others. i have a really sensitive scalp and these seem to be too harsh and irritate it more.

any other things i can try? and could propecia be contributing to the irritation?

I've heard good things about Scalpicin-- It's a salicylic acid-based liquid that you put on your scalp to relieve irritation. I'm sure it would definitely help. You can find it at an Albertson's or a grocery store.

Tricomin Spray or American Crew Revitalize Spray / Serum will help with irritation too.
