I have a lot of little spots of inflammation all over my scalp, on my hairline and also right in front of my hairline (I got some shampoo on that spot and it stung, don't know if that means something). I'm also diffuse thinning.

Is this normal for male pattern baldness? Could I have some sort of fungal infection? I ordered some Nizoral shampoo...will that help with this problem? Should I ask my dermatologist about it?

I may also be thinning on the sides of my head and back of my head, areas not normal for male pattern baldness. Here's the back of my head, look at the bottom:
