Scalp Acne?

I've had scalp acne about ever since the hair loss started and i'm quite sure they are related. What works best for scalp acne: topical spironolactone, propecia,...?

BTW I'm already using Nizoral & Neutrogena T-Gel.

If anyone has ever had scalp acne & has used topical spironolactone..how was it, any benefit?

You should try using T-SAL - it contains salysical (sp?) acids that fight acne. Also Tee Tree oil helps with general inflammation. For me another product that works well is Fructis 3 minute intense conditioner. Scalp feels great after use!

spironolactone is junk IMHO and a PAIN to apply.

I had a ton of scalp pimples a month ago, and started apple cider vinegar for it. The scalp pimples are gone now, so I'm guessing the apple cider vinegar is the reason. I soak my head 15 minutes before I shower every day, and then I drink a mouthful as well.

It's super cheap so you might as wel give it a shot.

Soak your head? How exactly are you using the apple cider vinegar? I'm just applying it to my scalp and let it be there for 15-30 mins and then wash it off. I feel my scalp has been a little better lately but it still itches on a daily basis. For me the itch is a sign of an unhealthy scalp condition and as long as I got the itch I feel there's zero chance of regrowth.
