Scalp Acne?

What does it mean when a hair that falls out has a rather large deposit, like a fat deposit attached to the root? Some of the hairs that I lose has this deposit, but I know it's not dandruff. The deposit is rather hard, almost like a blackhead. I found this link http://www.nhhn.org/13387.cfm, but I'm wondering if any of you have this problem too. If it is scalp acne, what can I do? I wash my hair every day. Thanks.
