Interesting.
"
The released fatty acids are thought to be
inflammatory; they favor ductal hypercornification and
increase adhesion between P. acnes and cells of the
hair follicle, promoting colonization of P. acnes and
biofilm formation"

it is very interesting!! my trichologist doctor prescribed me a probiotic, zinc and lactate, but did not say anything about minoxidil and finasteride. I thought that she did not know anything about hair loss ...
1 ml of the drug contains at least 1 billion pharmacopoeial strains of lacto and bifidobacteria, resistant to acidity of gastric juice and bile salts, antibiotics. Strains have a high activity against pathogenic microorganisms (Klebsiella, Proteus, Staphylococcus, Pathogenic E. coli, etc.), which manifests itself in a short time, and also destroy toxins, bacterial and food allergens, which contributes to the restoration of normal intestinal microflora. Due to their high acid resistance, bacteria safely cross the barrier of the stomach and small intestine and reach the large intestine in an active viable state. The drug also contains metabolic products of antagonistically active species L.acidophilus, B.bifidum: interferon-stimulating, bactericidal substances, vitamins, amino acids, incl. irreplaceable, prebiotics. The constituent components are natural, without preservatives, dyes and taste adapters, do not contain genetically modified strains of microorganisms.

What was the name of the prescription probiotic?

I had a lot of diffuse hair loss right around the time that pimples were popping up on my scalp. They just started coming back and I think I'm starting to shed again. I'm trying not to panic over it. Is there anything I can do that doesn't involve going to the doctor?

If they're on your scalp, you should really check to see if their "ingrown" hair follicles.

If those aren't treated within a week, they can permanently kill adjacent hair follicles.

You really shouldn't "pop" pimples with your hands, because that spreads more bacteria, and
causes more irritation (are you listening @buckthorn?).

If you're going to pop them, sterilize a think needle. Then "gently" use cotton swabs to slowly
take the puss out, but make sure you put peroxide on the swabs.

How do you treat an ingrown hair? Would I have to just lance it with a sterilized needle?

The key is not to make the hole bigger than it is, or it could injure the surrounding hair.

I would get a dermatologist to do that.

However, if that's not an option, sterilize a thin needle with peroxide, and wash off with hot water
before puting it in.

GENTLY squeeze it with sterilized q-tips (the same as a pimple), so the hole doesn't get bigger. Don't
squeeze it all out at once.

Some dermatologists can inject it with a medication (steroid), which will
make it go away within a day or two.

That's probably the safest way to do it.

Wouldn't worry about the ingrown hair (if it's not a pimple, which it might be).

Even pimples usually form around hair. The sweat glands mix with the bacteria, and the bacteria
breeds in it.

I had acne pimples on my scalp too at the time I lost hair.. It means that your hair follicles are getting fucked.
Only thing that stopped it was dutasteride+spirolactone.

Niacinamide is dirt cheap and effective against acne, sebum production, and inflammation. Very easy to add to any topical including pre-mixed minoxidil or RU.
