I have been using saw palmetto tincture topically after trying hair products containing saw palmetto. After the products I had bad very greasy hair and irritated scalp, after the tincture I have better hair than normally, just like after other typical pro-hair tinctures used externally (nettle, birch tree, burdock etc.) Does anyone else use saw palmetto tincture on scalp? I asked a herbalist and he said he never heard about using saw palmetto tincture externally. I am afraid of ingesting saw palmetto and think it will even work better when put directly on scalp. BTW. I use also minoxidil 5%.
