Hey fellas, first time poster and motivated here. I'm on my way to hitting a nw3 scale and am doing a lot of forum searching to look for a similar story that would fit mine, in hopes of starting a consistent and safe regime that will help sustain and maybe grow back my hairline.

I'd like to share a little about myself. I'm 24 years old, loving my career, but am stressing about my male pattern baldness frontal hairline. My dad, who is in his late 50s, has a solid nw1.5, looking better than ever. On my mom's side, my grandpa is basically bald in the front, with a hair on the back two halves of his head. I can tell that he is where I inherited mine.

I have a heart condition. I have a bicuspid aortic valve, which basically means that my aortic valve has 2 valve flaps instead of 3. I also have this natural, irregular heart beat that happens every now and then. Exercise, elimination of caffeine, and healthy eating helps to decrease that.

I'm looking to start a regime that consists of Minoxidil, a DHT blocker (i've used the NuHair product in the past), s5 cream, and a nizoral shampoo.

My question is, with s5 cream being a topical DHT blocker, is it safe to take with another DHT blocker/biotin supplement? I don't want to nuke my body. If there is enough interest, I would love to post pictures of my current hairline.

Thanks in advance.

spironolactone isn't really an effective DHT blocker. i don't think many people are using it, or had success with it. i would say the best in oral finasteride, or you could find a compounded topical finasteride and see if that makes a difference. now there is not much research on topical finasteride, but i say give it a shot. murray avenue apothecary can make you a bottle with a script. google them if ur interested.

Topical S5 does not absorb internally into your system. So, if you were to take both S5 and finasteride, internally you would only feel the effects of finasteride.

If you're using some natural "DHT blocker" like saw palmetto, I don't think that will work too well internally. But I understand, I would never try propecia either.
