[FONT=Verdana, Arial, Tahoma, Calibri, Geneva, sans-serif]Hey all! New poster but have been reading the board for a while.

i'm 21 years old, have been suffering from hairloss since about 18 years old. Was losing hair mainly on the crown. male pattern baldness runs in the family unfortunately.

Started using Rogaine foam about a year ago, on the crown. Now, the crown area has been improving! Rogaine doing its job there. BUT, yeah there's a but...

Since the Rogaine I have been shedding on the frontal area, pretty badly. Hairline is disappearing. So here's my first question; if I start using Rogaine on the frontal area, will I get another shed due to using the product on another area of my head?

Please also share your thoughts on improving my treatment. I'm definitely looking to accelerate and improve the treatment. Thank you very much in advance guys! Appreciate it.

Yeah john's right, you will still shed if you put it on your hairline. On the plus side, chances of your hair at the front growing back would increase.
Also, to supplement the minoxidil you might want to use nizoral and finasteride, they can help tackle the underlying cause of balding as minoxidil alone might not keep your hair in the long run.

You are not guaranteed to shed, but it is definitely possible. I am thinking you will shed where "weaker" hairs exist. If you have weak hair toward the front of your scalp, I would expect some shedding to happen there when you start treatment.
