I have been on propecia for around 7.5 months and I don't feel that it has been that successful. I am planning on purchasing rogaine now and I have a couple of questions.
Do you think rogaine will help? I know rogaine grows back hair, but will it do anything in regards to thickening the hair on the top of my head. If so should i just apply it all over the top of my hair with focus on my temples. Any advice anyone can give me on how to make rogaine more effect for me would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Unfortunately, you won't know until you give it a shot. For some guys minoxidil works wonders....for others it stabilizes things....for still others it doesn't do much. However, in concert with finasteride, I think you have a decent chance of seeing some benefit.

Yeah, you're not gonna know if you don't try. Just keep in mind that it can take anywhere from 3 months to 2 years to see results, so if you decide to add Rogaine to the regimen, be prepared wait it out until then. Too many guys start using it religiously and ditch it after 6 months because it's "not working".

The general impression I've been given is that the Rogaine foam is far better than the liquid, so get foam if you can. Apply twice per day. I usually apply it over the whole top of my head, about an inch down the sides and about 3 inches down the back... but focusing on the problem areas (which in my case is the temples and the front, just above my forehead).

Also, if you aren't already doing it, consider adding some Nizoral 2% shampoo (or 1%) to your regimen. Use this 2 - 3 times per week and leave it in for 3 - 5 minutes when you do.

Using these 3 products will give you the best chance of regrowing hair. Good luck! :)

I have finally purchased rogaine foam 5%. I applied my first treatment tonight and I think I may have applied too much. I am not trying to go crazy with the amount I apply per session, so I may just focus on my temples even though I am going thin all over. For the individuals who apply the foam all over, whats your secret to effectively applying it.

Overall, it's very easy to apply and it doesn't smell bad at all.

I am now officially on the big 3.
propecia - over 8 months.
nizoral - almost a month
rogaine - one hour

Anyone whom can give me advice on how to effectively apply the foam all over I would greatly appreciate it.
