My sides are thinning in places, and I plan to solve that by applying foam to my sides. has anyone else done this?

The hair on the side of my head (esp above the ears) and side burns have thinned dramatically in the past few years. I just started to apply Foam there 2 nights ago. Im hoping that I can grow some hair out of the side of my head just below my hairline so it will help give the appearence of temple closure. That KielMck guy has some pics in another thread showing his success at this method. So im going to give it a whirl.

Dermatch is very good for those parts of the head, give it a try.

I've been loosing hair on my sides for a while. Is this what you're talking about (see pic)? What causes this? Can it be male pattern baldness? Can minoxidil cause this even if it's not applied in the area?

The hair is getting thinner and doesn't grow longer than what you see in the pic. It also pulls out very easily.

Mine is similar to that, but most of my thinning area is above the ears. You're right about hair falling out really easily there, everytime I touch my hair around that general area a hair comes out :(

my hairs are strong but few. Now that they are 1 inch long, the area is a bit hidden. But I hate having my sides so long. I always apply foam after a shower, but have been missing my second dose of the day.

i know dermmatch works good there, but I want rogaine hairs, since they don't wash out in the shower or come of on the pillow. Minoxidil is a much better cover up than dermmatch is.

It's only been a week, but here is hoping. I added lavender to my shampoo.
