Rogaine Foam seized!

3 weeks ago I ordered Rogaine Foam from a supplier in the US to be shipped here to Ireland and nothing arrived til this morning where it lands on my doorstep in the form of an empty envelope with a note from Swiss Post International inside saying 'Dangerous Goods (aerosols etc) have been removed from this package'

Aaaargh! This might be the end of me ever being able to order minoxidil foam online again ...I had already ordered some from a seller on Amazon so I'm not any longer without any minoxidil but suspect this will probably be confiscated too. A disaster. You can only get the liquid off the shelf here and the liquid is awful for me.

What's weird is I could probably go on holiday with Rogaine Foam in my suitcase and it would be fine but its been seized cos its airmail.

I have the same problem by ordering minoxidil. also some vitamins from the US, because the custom here sees them as medicine, and need permission to oder them.
So I order nealy all of them within the EU countries, because there is no custom within EU, so it will not be checked, and no need to pay duties. Of course ordering things from other EU countries is much more expensive than ordering it from the US in most cases.

You can also try to get the Foam on Ebay from other EU countries. I have just seen this one on the Ebay:

Thanks, yeah, I'll have to try order from inside Europe ...but what is still worrying me is that it was seized by Swiss Post International, presumably somewhere in Europe on its way from the US. It is not to do with customs..it appears it was confiscated cos the foam contains a propellant.

Holy crap! I always order from Minoxidil Direct (usa) to deliver to England. It sounds a little OTT.
U may have been just damn unlucky. Anyway thanks for letting people know.

He's the guy I've been using..two years getting foam and no problems until now. I hope its a once-off (or twice-off as its looking) but otherwise I'll be wary about ordering stuff from the US

Biovea ships out the items from UK, so it should not have any problem.

Update: items kindly re-sent by US supplier arrived in post today. Hopefully the foam being seized by Swiss Post was just a once-off

You guys think you have it bad. Regrowing your hair in Canada is an absolute nightmare. Nobody ships here anymore.

Rogaine Foam (which is 5% minoxidil and only available for prescription) is almost as bad. Shipping and Duty are 150% of the price of the item (ie Rogaine foam $20 - Duty/Shipping $30). At least we are close for the roadtrip!
