Rogaine Foam For A Diffuse Thinner, Trouble Applying

ive been trying to comb it in with my fingers but getting all over my scalp with hair in the way is quite hard... a lot ends up in my hair and I end up needing to use like 3-4 capfuls... way too much!!!! Don’t want to switch to liquid and cause a shed

Anyone with some tips?
