Rogaine and dizziness

I started using Rogaine last Tuesday, and I'm now experiencing dizziness (which is given as one of the potential, though rare, side effects.). I've since stopped using it. The dizziness is not debilitating, but it is disconcerting.

Any similar experiences? Any thoughts? Thanks.

What strength were you using, how much, and how many times a day? Did you apply while scalp was hydrated?

The Extra Strength....twice a day, the prescribed 1 mL each time...while hair was dry
Okay, well try to apply 1ml just once a day, morning or night, whatever is more convinient for you. Do that for a while, perhaps a week or two, then try to go with 2 applications and see how it does. Sometimes the body can gain a tolerance to the sides, allowing you to use it twice a day. But, even if one application still gives you dizziness, then you might have to go to 2% and try that twice a day. Then maybe gradually graduating to 5%. You are just gonna have to experiment a little to see what will work for you. And yes...............apply to dry scalp only, in your case, since a hydrated scalp allows it to better absorb, better absorption you might want to stay away from. :)

Since it absorbs so well for you you may get good results from it if you can tollerate it. So definately play around with it before moving on.

Yes, Dinzy is right! You might have to do a bit of experimenting. Would be nice to find a way to counteract the dizziness. :)

Dear Mr Shitwood,

Do not fret about your minoxidil dizziness, I have heard of this happening to others. You may want to try using a little less minoxidil but I reckon the dizziness will subside after a couple of days when your body gets used to it.
