rogain foam made my face bloated...

After two days of use (I used less then the recommended amount), I had to stop using Rogain foam. It made me feel like sh*t and my face got bloated (I'm very fit, under 160lb). Its just not worth the side effects. a few days later, I had to pee like every hour, which I'm guessing had to do with water retention. Just started on Folligen and Emu Oil S, although I know these wont be nearly as effective as the Rogain. Also, I am taking weekly pictures, so it will be interesting to see if these "natural" products do anything.

Look into a product called Revivogen and consider supplements such as saw palmetto and MSM.

People keep saying to me I'm getting a fat face even though I have skinny arms and legs... it must be minoxidil related.

I also have bad bags under my eyes and a wrinkly forehead

anyone here use Revivogen? I took saw palmetto for over a year and it did not seem to do much for me. I am however going to try msm, considering the overall benifits. Its hard to tell with side effects whats actually causing them, but with the rogain it happned right away. I stopped using it and all the sides went away.

I used to have the same sides with Rogaine foam, face bloat and bags under eyes, but I guess my body adapted to it eventually and all is fine now, which I am glad, since it is working so well, would have hated to stop using it. On the other hand, I had to drop finasteride, 4 months and no let up of sides, not worth it. I have tried switching to Revivogen and spironolactone as topical DHT, hopefully they will hold the fort while the Rogaine regrows hairs.

johnnyseville, how long did it take for your facial bloat to go away form Rogaine Foam?

stax, let me know if your sides go away too...

maybe I'll reconsider it, although it seems that my body is very sensitive to the stuff.

good luck

I can handle lack of sex drive, watery semen, aching bollocks, weaker bladder, acne, oily skin, shedding, brain fog and heart palputations yet strangely this is one side effect of my regimen that really scares me.. :?

I had this problem.

I noticed my face felt a bit funny a few weeks ago (I was on both minoxidil and propecia), like it was a bit fatter or something.

Anyway, I decided to give Propecia a skip for a while and stick with the minoxidil 10 days ago and my face is starting to feel normal again, still a bit bloated around the chin and mouth but getting better each day, I just hope it continues, maybe I've been using minoxidil too much around the forehead/face and so possibly could have caused that.

drinking water a lot of water can help with water retention, but when your face looks like you were in a fight, you know theres something wrong with the way you body is interacting with the drug..

That description seems more serious and to be honest, you should be seeking a medical consult (s). It may very well be something else.

it was only like that when I took rogain... no joke. I had a physical a few months ago, and all of by blood work was fine.
