Revita ?

Hi,

A few months ago I noticed that the hair around my temples was getting thinner. Last month I finally decided to start using Revita in the hope that that could control my problem sufficiently. Prior to using Revita I'd see about 40 strands of hair on my hands when shampooing. When I started using Revita that number seemed to go down during the first few weeks, but now I'm one month in the treatment the number is even higher than at the start. In addition my scalp feels a bit irritated.

So right now I'm wondering if I should continue. I've read somewhere that a shedding phase is to be expected when using a hair loss product. This could be a sign of the product actually working. Could it simply be something like this? Or do people lose more hair in the fall in general?

And finally, I'm wondering how often I should use Revita. Right now I've been using it 6 times a week. But it seems like my scalp hurts a bit and s getting itchy and my old dandruff problem seems to be resurfacing again. I read that Ketonazole (which is an ingredient of revita) should not be used too often since it dries the scalp. But the user manual for revita says that the product should be used at least 5 times a week. I'm now thinking about alternating between anti-dandruff shampoo and revita every day. I'd like to know how often the other forum users use Revita :)

Any feedback would be very appreciated!

ive seen speculations of shedding cycles according to season, but i dont recall any science that backed it up. i really, really doubt revita could make your baldness any worse

Thanks for your response LawOfThelema

Maybe a seasonal effect does play a part here. When I just started using revita most of the hairs I shed were very thin and miniaturized. Now I'm also shedding a lot of thick hairs. Maybe this is just related to the changing seasons. I guess I'll just have to wait and hope some of the miniaturized hairs I shed will come back :)

If something is bothering you..it's possible it could be causing the shedding. It only makes sense to cut back on Revita..or anything you think could be causing problems..to see if it helps. You may end up having to go with something else entirely- ppl do have bad reactions to things that may not bother others.

Maybe you are right. But right now it seems like the shedding is reducing somewhat, but I'm still losing quite some hairs. But since I have no other treatment plan I will just continue using Revita for some time to see if it gives results in the end. One month is too soon to expect an effect. If I do notice it works I'll try to remember to return to this topic in some months to let you know.
