eck, I just sprayed some folligen spray on my scalp and now it's itching lik eCRAZY. i actually didn't really have a problem with itch before, but was hoping the copper peptides in the folligen can stop my hair from shedding, but crap, this stuff itches. anyone else have this effect?

Was this the first time you used folligen? It will tingle for about the first 2 weeks until you adjust to it. After that you will beg for it because it makes your scalp feel so good.

i used it an hour after i applied dr lee's retin-a/minoxidil combo. at first it was a tingle, but then it just started to itch really bad. i had to go in the shower to wash it off just so i could sleep. it also made my scalp a little red, and everytime i moved my hair, it caused a little painful sensation, like someone was pulling on my hair. maybe my scalp is just too oily to mix more than one topical at a time. i'm too scared to try the folligen spray again. i might give a go at the folligen shampoo and conditioner, since i saw they sell trial bottles for cheap. god, there is another $30 bucks i wasted on something to test out on my daily routine of hair products that didn't work out. i think i've wasted around $300 now.

I believe on skinbiology's website it states that if it is too itchy or stings, then to dilute the the formula with water, 50/50 for a coulple weeks. It works good with a medicine dropper like the ones that come w/minoxidil. Anyway, the stinging will go away after a week or 2. If it stings that bad, I would guess that your scalp is not in a healthy condition which is essential for new hair growth. Just keep it up.

folligen

Thats strange. I've never had irritation from folligen before. Just a little tingling for a few min after application. You must have a sensitive scalp or it was irritated in the 1st place

Very very odd that you have blister/scabs happening. My first though would be it could be from the PPG in Folligen, but I dont know much about how folligen could interact with the other topicals you've applied.

My opinion

I think your scalp could have been irritated in the first place and the stinging is your scalp healing. The scabs are probably from excesive itching to the point of bleeding. If folligen itself is doing that and not the itching I wouldn't use it or a least water it down with pure water. 50/50 mixture to lower the potency. If it gets any worse then stop the use and try it again after it heals. If you use it again dilute it with water. Maybe your scalp will get a tolerance to it and you can work your way up to the undiluted folligen. Good Luck

hey kalika, thanks for the advice. i just don't think i'll continue with the follegen. my scalp never really itched, i was just trying to use it to stop the constant shedding. i've recently heard mix reviews if folligen really has the power to do this, so it just seems like a waste of money to me.

I'll buy the rest of the folligen spray from you if you would like to sell it.

yea definitely it messed my scalp up big time and made my hair thin out as a result! But luckily once i stopped it and the scalp recovered things went back to normal, but owwww that stuff is strong!

Things are looking okay at the moment, i've got a nice settled regimen and not throwing too much crap on - i think i'll stick with this now, tried everything else and nothing beats a nice simple minoxidil/internalDHTinhib/topicalAndrogeninhib/Nizoral cycle of treatment :)
