Dr. Christiano, a woman who herself has alopecia, was actually the dr who discovered Jak inhibitors for hairloss and sold that to Alcaris, was one of the first to experiment (and still is) with DP stem cell “germ” treatment, and in this interview talks about pinpointing, isolating and inhibiting the gene responsible for alopecia with a topical treatment.
Interesting read. I can’t seem to find the date for it though. Anyway, have a look

EDIT:
This is from 1998. At this point I was a mere 4-year-old with still probably more hair than I now have. Regardless, it’s interesting (lmao)

Isn't this the same doctor that was claiming we will have hair cloning by 2014 back in 2008 ?

This article was published in 1998 for the discovery of the hairless gene ;)
I remember of this one, I have seen it a few years ago.

In this article we can read that Doctor Christiano is a 32 year-old woman. And in an another article published in 2010, we can see that she was 45 years old. So today, she is 53 years old :)

HAHA! well it’s still good to read. I think what’s important is that she is actually still working with Alcaris and I believe was working with samumed also and is still in the game. Aclaris is still very much current. We will see how it goes.

Damn, 1998, back when Cartoon Network still hadn't shown my guy Goku beat Frieza yet.

Mike Tyson was still boxing.

Nickelodeon had Doug, All That, Kenan and Kel, Ahhh Real Monsters, Rocco's Modern Life.

I was an innocent child, and not a balding freak yet.

1998.
