Regrown hairs seem out of place

Hello, I've been using minoxidil for 4 years and started propecia several months ago. Recently I've regrown a few random hairs out in front of my forehead hairline that do not look like they belong there at all. I'm forced to shave them constantly to keep my forehead looking normal, but even after that you can still see little black dots where the hair grew from. I hoped that one day the rest of my hairline would catch up, but it's been a while and I don't think it's going to happen. Is there any way to get rid of these stray hairs short of laser removal?

Just pluck them, that will last 5x longer than shaving and they will regrow back finer than before. Get some tweezers from your local drug or grocery store.

You're situation sounds just like mine. I've been using minoxidil since '02 and just started finasteride 4 months ago. I have a bunch of that filled in my normal hairline somewhat and now I've probably got a dozen or so terminal hairs growing about 1/2 cm below that where my hairline used to be. I just snip them off. I do have a ton of vellus all over my hairline temples so I have hopes the rest may catch up.

plucking the hard earned results? I would just snip them. Plucking is not permenant, but it can damage the follicle, making it grow back smaller. If you don't get any more it a few years, and short or no peach fuzz, then pluck.

Thinning always has such pessimistic advice.

They were right at the front, where my hairline is where I want it, and is probably very close to where it was before I started losing hair. I lost most of my hair on either side, and the temples, but only had minor thinning at the front which propecia was able to fill in nicely. Sometimes hairs just grow out of place..my friend, who had no male pattern baldness, had a hair growing out about 3/4s of a cm below his hairline. He just pulled it out. I think minoxidil may increase the chances of these non-hairline hairs to grow.
