Lately I am really concerned about my hair. I am 22 years oold. I had Androgenetic Alopecia since 2 - 3 years. I have never tried to fight male pattern baldness. However I have researched the most effective treatments.

Here is my regimen after a ton of research:

1. Ru (most potent androgen inhibitor)
2. Finasteride 0.5mg ( has almost the same effect like 1.25mg)
3. Minoxidil 5% (FDA approved)
4. Dermaroller 1.5mm for wounding (has some amazing studies with great success in combination with minoxidil)
5. Folligen (has copper peptide in it)
6. Emu oil and castor oil (has amazing scientifically studies)
7. Nizoral shampoo

My first question is if it is safe to undergo such a heavy regimen and if I am safe?

My second question is if I will be able to be a solid Norwood 1 after I consequently follow this regimen for 1 year?

Edit: I will start this regimen on the first January 2015 and results will be shown January 2016

The only way this regime might get unsafe is if you don't leave an appropriate length of time (24hrs) after using your derma roller before applying minxo, RU etc.

With regard to your second question, I think you might need to manage your expectations. I might be wrong, but unless you respond exceptionally well to these treatments, I can't see you making that much progress over a year.

I agree. You just have to get on treatments and see what happens. You could be a great responder and grow everything back, or treatments could do no more than keep you from losing any more hair. You just have to try and wait and see, there are no guarantees in this business.

Yes I will do minoxidil at the morning and on the evening

More detailed regimen (everyday):
Morning: After I have showered I will apply minoxidil 5% everywhere where my hair is thin and on my temples. Then I will eat my Finasteride .5mg and go to work.

Evening: the first thing I will apply is again minoxidil 5% . Then I will apply my Ru after 15 minutes. The next thing I will apply is Follogen and my oils (emu and castor). Before I will go to sleep I will cover my head with a bandana so my pillow doesn't get nasty.

My nizoral shampoo I will use on Monday, Thursday and Saturday. Additionally I will use my dermaroller 2 times per week. This will be on Wednesday and Sunday. On these days I will not use any topicals except for folligen and emu+ castor oils. This will recover my scalp from all the drugs I put on.

Does this make sense?

minoxidil 2 times per day?

Evening: The first thing I will do is put on my minoxidil. After 15 minutes I will put on my ru and wait for 10 minutes. The next thing is folligen and finally I will put on my emu + castor oils. Before I go to sleep I will cover my head with a bandana so my pillow doesn't get nasty.

On top of all that I will use my nizoral shampoo on the morning on Monday, Thursday, and Sunday.
The dermaroller I will use on Saturday morning. On that day I will only put folligen and my emu+castor oils. This will help me to recover from all that crap I put on the other days

Does that make sense?

Yeah I hope I am a good responder. But I am really positive about it since everything I do has some scientifically background...

If someone has any other helpful treatment feel free to post.

the most you can expect is maintenance and turning miniaturized hairs back to terminal.

once sly, stay sly.

I think bim at a high strength will give good regrowth, only photos I seen of regrowth from a nw3 to a nw1 was a person using psi

A lot of this depends on how good of a responder you are. I mean, that is stating the obvious, but if you're a non-responder to minoxidil, it's pretty much a game over when it comes to the hopes for regrowth. The DHT-inhibitors will likely maintain with modest regrowth for the lucky people (mostly maintenance).

It's definitely possible to bounce back if you're really lucky and sticking to your regimen religiously, though. Being on the big three, I've gone from NW3a with tons of diffuse thinning to being between NW1½ and NW1.75, depending on the day, shedding cycles, etc. Some days my right temple feels like it is nearly in its juvenile state, sometimes I shed a bit, with the left one also lagging a bit behind etc. But I am definitely better off than NW2 at the moment, even if the crown is getting back slower and if the overall appearance still has some diffuse thinning when wet.

It's luck of the draw. Will you be a responder? Great, maintenance with modest regrowth at best. Are you gonna be a good/great responder? Awesome, decent/good regrowth possible. Will your hairline respond? (The most important thing when bouncing back the norwoods). And so forth and so forth.

All the best to you OP. Definitely a very dedicated regimen plan, though I would personally maybe just give the big three a shot first, then gradually add RU etc. if need be.

Thank you for all your insides!
You guys made me overthink my regimen. Maybe it is best to leave ru alone because there are no long term studies on it. I think I will start with finasteride and if there are no sides I will try dutasteride instead.
