So Minixodil (liquid) for about 9 months and Procepia for over a year and nizoril for 4months. No results actually thats a lie, its drastically worse, my loss is incredibly fast. I'm 25, starting losing about 1 and a half ago so I got the big three pretty fast considerably.

So since nothing is working i'm planning on changing regimen and would love some advice on what to start next. I just ordered some Dutas and am thinking of chucking in some MSM. Should i stay with Minoxidil or change as well.

Please help guys, this is killing me

Your hair could be looking worse due to sheds from using the products. If you have lost a lot of hair just recently that could be the case. If it has been a steady decline over the past year and a half, that could suggest a fairly aggressive hair loss pattern, which you may not be able to stop or reverse.

Do you have pics to compare?

I would say definitely stick with minoxidil, as it is the only proven method to regrow hair. Sometimes it can take anywhere from 4 months to 12 months to notice results as well so don't give up hope yet. Minoxidil is also not going to start growing thick, strong hair straight away - it'll start with small, fine hairs... which will eventually thicken and grow stronger.

As far as DHT inhibitors go I cannot comment on which to use. Dutas is definitely more effective in some ways, but is more risky with sides as well.

thank you so much for that. Its been a bit of both really. But pretty much really really aggresive, and it has gotten much worse since I started the procepia and minoxidil but hey, it was definitely starting to thin before that, I keep reminding myself there was a reason I started taking this stuff in the first place.

Ok so i'll continue the minoxidil. I havent seen any results yet although for the past couple of months there has been heaps of tiny white hairs all over my temples and forehead, however the hair just keeps going.

Also do you know much about MSM and supplements? Wouldnt mind trying some. I know this is mostly genetic but god my hair was so thick and then all of a sudden bam, a year and a half later and is getting bad. Sorry i dont have photos, well I have some from like 3 months ago when my hair still was alright and I can always take some now to show you. How do I upload them though? Sorry havent done that before.

If you think you have noticed your hair getting worse since/bc of the minoxidil and finasteride, this suggests that you are just experiencing a prolonged shed (because you started one, waited a while, and then started another). In that case, you should just ride it out for a few more months.

However, like the above poster said, if this has been a long steady decline then the treatments don't seem to be doing the job. You should still be above baseline at this point, so I guess it could be that either: (1) you are taking fake finasteride (where do you get your stuff?); and/or (2) you have very aggressive male pattern baldness.

If the finasteride you are taking is legit but just hasn't been cuttin the mustard, then yes I'd ditch it for the dutas. As for the MSM, I think it's great stuff and should be a part of everyone's regimen. Definitely stay on the minoxidil though - you don't want to make that mistake.

My finasteride is legit - I got it prescribed and go to a chemist.

I'm pretty sure I have very aggressive male pattern baldness but heres the thing, I'm a twin. As I said above at 23 and a half years of age I had extremely thick hair, too thick actually (god too think there is such a thing now) and so did my twin brother. Now at 25 i'm receding badly and getting thinner all over by the day and he has only really just started to lose some hair at the temples, still has a healthy hairline. I was about that stage when I started using procepia and wwent downhill badly for about 10months or so before starting minoxdil.

He's not on anything and wont be taking anything so I guess I'll see what happens to his hair over the next year. I'm definitely moving on to Dutas though, wil add MSM and stay on the minoxidil for at least another 4motnhs to see how it goes. Though if this actually doing anything I shudder to think what it would be like if it wasnt as my hair gets noticably worse every week and thats not in my mind.

Cheers for the advice guys.

Yeah that is frustrating... the whole reason you start on treatments it for progress, not f**king losing more!

I don't know if having a twin would be an accurate measurement on your success / failure. It's hard to say if the MBP would be identical - or even similar (assuming you're identical twins). Can anyone else answer that?

I've always thought it would be cool to have a parallel universe in which I never touched my hair... just so I could see how my hair I would've lost, had I never started treatment. I suppose you almost have that then? *hehe*

Anyway, good luck with the regimen - keep us posted on your progress
