Ok, well I have been on propecia for a little over a year now and I'm more than happy with my results, I believe I have maintained well. I don't notice abnormal amounts of hair loss while showering, or over the course of the day. I started to notice tiny dark hairs across my hairline about two months ago, there isn't an abundance of them and they haven't grown any less sparse over time, but they are definitely there. I believe some of the hairs that were once miniaturized have now become longer and match the length of the rest of my hair, does this mean regrowth is occurring? Finding it very hard to judge as the difference isn't enough to show up in photographs yet. I am very tempted to add minoxidil into the equation but I'm not sure if this is a good idea, what do you guys suggest? Should i stick with the propecia and nizoral for the time being or throw in the minoxidil to try and spur on the growth of my hairline? I am a between a norwood 2 and 3 and would be quite happy to maintain this, though I would like the hair to be slightly thicker. Cheers.

All depends on if you can handle using minoxidil? It's recommended to use morning and evening every day....you could use once a day if that too much but it's a simple question of are you happy with what you have, and are you prepared to increase your regimen time for possible extra regrowth.

Proxy-n could be worth looking in to also

Thank you for your reply. Looked into this prox-n stuff, seems like a possibility for the future, though I'd rather add in the minoxidil first to complete the big three if you know what I mean?

So if I were to add minoxidil, from what I understand it will hopefully give the follicles a boost and encourage them to produce stronger, terminal hair. The downside being that these hairs will be minoxidil dependent. What happens to the existing hair? will it only be new hair that is minoxidil dependent, or will some existing hair also become dependent?

Just the minoxidil hair I believe.
