Hello I am about to buy a shampoo for my hair that's supposed to block DHT on scalp level. I have heard stories that Nizoral is pretty good but has sulfates which are not exactly the best one should look in a shampoo. People recommended me an alternative, Regenepure, it is also a bit cheaper than Nizoral and doesn't have any sulfate, also has Keto 2% like Nizoral which should stop DHT externally. Has anyone tried Regenepure? What do you think about it, compared with Nizoral? Which one would be stronger and have more benefits between these two?

Regenepure DR will be a much better shampoo to use than Nizoral, it's much more gentle to the scalp. Also, Regenepure is 1% Ketoconazole like the OTC Nizoral, using a 2% concentration will require a prescription. I've used both shampoos and Regenepure DR is much better than Nizoral, it will bring more benefits.

Ketoconazole is a mild anti-androgen and will very mildly disrupt DHT pathways mildly interfering with Androgenetic Alopecia when applied topically to the scalp that suffers from baldness. No shampoo will legitimately 'block' DHT on the scalp.

We can order Nizoral 2% from an online pharmacy. I am trying at least to slow down the baldness with the shampoo for a while until I hop on finasteride.

Don't expect too much results from using shampoos. If you're genuinely suffering from Male Pattern Baldness, you'll need to get on Finasteride if you're not on that medication. Regenepure DR will help to keep the scalp clean and help lower Androgenetic Alopecia related inflammation, and maybe, but just maybe also help reduce shedding.
