Regaine and receding hairline?

I'm 20 and my hairline has receded maybe 3 or 4 times since I was 17. My family has a naturally high forehead so it never really bothered me, but it's gotten to the point where I need to stop it from receding. My question is will using Regaine stop my hairline from receding further? I'm aware it won't grow my hairline back but if it stayed where it currently is I would be delighted.

In some cases minoxidil (the active ingredient in regaine/rogaine/whatever) will grow back some hair on the hairline, and at the very least it'll slow recession considerably.

That said, you neglect to mention if male pattern baldness runs in your family. Does it?

Ok , If you wanna try something which you want to help to hairline I think its a good idea to start with minoxidil or you can try lipogaine which has some other ingredient which are DHT blocker , Otherwise you can also try finasteride topical which can help to fight with DHT , You can also apply spironolactone as dht blocker , As the handosomelurker mentioned there are SOME people who have good result with minoxidil on hairline but to be honest with you we do not find anything miracle for the hairline yet ! But again you need to try it by yourself ! If you have any other question from above information I would be happy to help you.

thanks for the reply. So if I use minoxidil it should stop my hairline receding? For a few years at least, I hope

Your welcome my friend , I will give you the option and then you decide :
You can start with minoxidil liquid or foam ( Foam is easier to use but liquid seems a little better )
It depends on your budget , If you do not want to spend more than 10-15 bucks go for minoxidil
If you wanna spend between 20-30 bucks go for lipogaine
If you wanna spend around 60-100 bucks go for promox
--- you can also add spironolactone to your regimen with 20-30 bucks each month

For the promox I think it works better on hairline
FYI : it has minoxidil , Retin-A , finasteride topical and azelaic acid . It is more powerful than minoxidil.
------------
Lipogaine has some other good ingredients too but I think promox is better .

But all depends on your budget and your decision , The reason which I went to detail is because I just wanna inform you to
all the option you have ( from my knowledge and my experience )
-----------------------------------

For answer your question I can say there is no GUARANTEE that minoxidil would be stop your hairline receding but you can give it a try ! I just mentioned some others type of treatment to raise the chance up because those are have some other good things besides minoxidil !

so my answer is I do not know , You need to try ! Some people get result and some don't !So get your decision from your budget , Your searching and the information which I gave it to you.

let me know if you have any question and good luck with your hairs !
