Hi all,

I am 26 years old, Norwood 2 and very slowly thinning and receiding. I have long curly hair (people call me Jon Snow, go figure;-)) and want to keep it.

In the end of 2015 I noticed for the first time that I had a small decrease in density and I hopped on finasteride and figured that I was saved since I caught it very early and it did not seem that aggresive anyway.

Things went slightly different...

I started finasteride when I was not in the most healthy period of my life and I got terrible sides which made everything worse. Most sides subsided but my ED, lower libido and lack of morning wood stayed. Even after I quit finasteride after 8 months.,,

I never got the famous PFS crash, gyno, or any of the other famous systems. My erections just never really came back to pre-finasteride levels. I had a period earlier this year where things seemed to be recovering but after a very stressful period in my personal life I fell back again. These days I am also doing better, erections are at 90% of pre-finasteride. Still no consistent morning wood though.

My hairloss has unfortunately also continued and I obviously do not want to lose my precious locks.

So, what are my options? TOPICALS!

1) Minoxidil

Pro:
- Safe
- Will not interfere with my finasteride recovery
- No anti-androgen
- Cheap

Con:
- Only a small amount of people seem to be responders
- Not a good maintainer

Extra: could add azalaic acid to it

2) RU

Pro:
- Known to be a powerful maintainer

Con:
- Expensive
- Unpractical (I travel a lot so can not always store it in the freezer and have to start messing with vehicles etc)
- Side effects

3) CB

Pro:

- Relatively safe
- Unlikely to interfere with my finasteride recovery

Con:

- REALLY expensive
- Not many success stories....

4) Low dose topica finasteride (liposomal)
...

What would you guys do in my situation and/or any other tips:)?

Thanks guys

I tried minoxidil for one month once, just to see how I would respond to it. No side effects during that month (obviously too early to say anything about hair').

Anyone else that wants to weight in into this topic?
