Can someone here let me know if there is a resource page or similar comparing prices of proscar/propecia from across different retailers?

I am thinking of something similar to pricechecker type websites?

You're likely not gonna fiND cheaper than costco/sams club. Second would probably be walmart. My last rx I got from walmart: 90 5mg generic finasteride pills for $24. That should be almost a year supply if u take 1.25 mg a day.

I’d rather have Proscar though, made by Merck. With that said would Walmart sell it if I don’t have insurance?

How much does generic propecia cost? The normal 1mg and not the proscar 5mg. Proscar technically is not for male pattern baldness so a lot of doctors wont prescribe you that.
Just curious because I thought about trying finasteride lately, and cost is a big issue with a life long thing that completely out of pocket

$40 a year at Costco for 360 1mg tabs generic propecia if you get at least 180 at once.

Are you guys just buying them over the counter though cos i don't have insurance?

Also, I am talking about the brand name format, not a copy.

Imo brand is a waste of money. You don't have health insurance and you're willing to pay 10X more? You could probably get generic finasteride and have enough left over to get insurance for the same price.

Generics aren't a copy, the active ingredient is the same. It's just a different manufcaturer. When's the last time you asked the gas station what company your gas comes from? It's all the same

Insurance doesn't cover finasteride because it's considered cosmetic. Call dermatologists and ask how much a visit is without insurance. Might be cheaper than you think, doctors wait months to get paid from insurance companies so they like when people pay cash on the spot. I used to pay for one visit a year, $75, when I didn't have health insurance a few years back

you can't buy finasteride otc in the US, it's an rx med. any pharmacy should let u pay cash price. Warning u will get sticker shock when u see prices of name brand propecia and proscar. I'm talking $400+ for 90 name brand proscar.

I’ve read about genetics sometimes being underdosed and I’ve tried a few times products which didn’t feel the same as the originals (not just in the pharma space).

For those of you without insurance, what do you do? Buy it from online?
