Recommend a Dr. in Los Angeles for evaluation?

Hi Guys,

I'm 23 years old, been receding for about 1.5 years now..ive always had ALOT of hair naturally that is pretty thick so, it has not been too noticeable. I fear though that it is going to become more noticeable in the next few months ahead and I've begun to lose some at the crown which wasnt happening before. Anyway I just started minoxidil about a week ago and before that I had been using the laser comb for about 6 months (pretty much bullshit btw) /taking vitamins, fish oil etc.

I've heard a lot of good things about finasteride working for young guys and completely stopping further loss especially in people whos loss isnt bad yet. I know some people take it for a short period of time and get terrible sides and have to stop..and I know others take it for 10 years and have no sides what so ever.

At this point I would like to go get evaluated by a good doctor and talk to them about getting on finasteride. I know a lot of docs out there just want to make money and arent the most ethical in the world and take advantage of people like us who are desperate. So could any of you recommend a good Doctor in the los angeles area that I could go see? I dont have a lot of money so money is a real issue but not necessarily a deal breaker (for christs sake i did spend $500 on a useless laser comb which took me 3 months to pay off lol)

I saw Dr. Lee from Regrowth in person 13 years ago. I'm not sure if he still sees patients in person but you should try to see him.

Thanks for the suggestion Jmoss. I didnt know the famous Dr Lee was located so close to me.

I have emailed him about a consultation. My only concern with him is that he does sell his own products...and I know its usually not a good thing when a doctor has that much financial interest in pushing you to buy certain products...but he seems to have a reputable image among the hair loss forums i've been on so..we'll see if he'll take me for a consultation

I've never seen Dr Lee, but his practice has been kind to me. Yes he does sell his own products, but at least they aren't snake oils... his stuff is all various mixtures of publically known treatments (Minoxidil, Finasteride, Ketoconahole, etc.) His stuff is all clearly labelled and the active chemicals clearly stated. So, if you see him and he recommends certain products for you, there is nothing that would keep you from getting those same products from any other source out there.
