Real proof: using topical on only one side of my head

If I am going to be stuck purchasing something for life to keep my hair I want proof it works. I plan on purchasing one topical product and testing it only on the left or right side of my head. I've seen too many posts with before and after pictures where you cannot tell a difference, or people being 'pretty sure' some product was working.

What I am looking for is suggestions on what to use in this experiment.

I plan on doing this for 6 months, unless something is working so well i have photo evidence after less time.

After much reading I have looked at the topical spironolactone and the tricomin spray. spironolactone because of my androgen levels, tricomin because I dabbled with a copper product before and it seemed to work.

I am 32 years old and have a history of some androgen abuse, and have high testosterone levels.

I have vague thinness in the front of my hair that likely only I can notice.

In the past I abused testosterone and my hair thinned. I stopped and used a topical copper product and it seemed to come back well.

This winter some reckless steroid use seemed to hurt my hair, it is not coming back...

I hope my experiment is interesting and could provide some rare evidence. Thoughts? Fellow testers? I promise pics and updates. I am the lab rat.

spironolactone is a good choice - a lot of mixed opinions on it.

Revivogen and topical finasteride would also be interesting for such a test.

Michael Barry did a number of tests with topicals on his body hair - search the Research and Studies section if interested.
