Rational or Irrational ?

Hello everybody,

I just have a quick question. I fear that I have DUPA (Diffuse Unpatterned Alopecia), but I don't know if it's rational or not. It seem visualy that I have still a very good hair density on the back and on the side (side are a little bit thinner but nothing visually noticable). But I cutted my hair today just to do a test, so I picked a some strand on my back (the safe zone) and cutted the edge. I picked up the cutted hair and looked at them. The vast majority (97 %) of the hair where pretty thick hair, but some of them where a little bit less thick (not vellus hair, but just smaller diameter). Is that normal? Do we have different size of hair on the head, or it's not normal and it's miniaturizing hair ? Thanks a lot !

BTW, I'm on finasteride and I'm 25, and I my male pattern baldness is mainly diffuse on the frontal and hairline !

If you have a family history of DUPA, there's a chance you could have gotten it.

Keep taking Finasteride and you're Androgenetic Alopecia should be stabilized.
