Ok, I have curly/wavy hair. But, I have like 100 hairs sticking up on my head. Like i have thick hair and fine, but then on top of it is like a layer of random hairs sticking up?

My hair stylist said its new healthy hairs growing, Is that true?

Well if your hair stylist said it then it must be true. :) Seriously, how can we know what is happening on top of your head? Were those hairs there before? Do you have any pictures of these hairs? I would think that if you never noticed them before then they are probably new hairs or thickened miniaturized hair.

I shed like 30-40 hairs a day, and these hairs are here all the time. I have frizzy hair too, These hairs are like out of control. How would I know the difference between new hairs and thickened minaturized hairs?

I probably shouldn't have phrased it like that. If you've never noticed this hair before, then they are probably miniaturized hair that has lengthened/thickened. There really is no such thing as "new" hair, meaning you will never grow a hair that wasn't there before. Any regrowth is really just a thickening of miniaturized hair, some of which are too small to be seen, along with a lengthening of their anagen phase.

ive found that as ive been on min/nizoral/finasteride for 18 months, the reversal of miniaturisation works in mysterious ways

before i introduced regaine foam into my regimen i found that random hairs would grow longer and in different places all over my head, some would remain miniaturised some would double in length and some would grow and grow.

when i introduced foam i found that the reversal became a bit more synchronised, isee groups of longer hairs rather than the random ones, and i gotta say foam is working wonders, and im only at 4 months!

i hope that all makes sense?! :hairy:

Wait, sorry, can you just explain to me whats happening. The hairs are long too

Well I really don't know what is happening for sure, only you can really determine that. I was suggesting that perhaps the hairs you are seeing were previously miniaturized and are now growing back in thicker. I'm assuming you are on some sort of treatment?
