Qutting oral finasteride, topical only

I used 0.5mg finasteride ED, i got zero sexual side effects but instead i experienced mental side effects like brain fog and even problems with fluent talking so i will make a pause with oral finasteride and maybe will use it sometime in the future if no other option.

So i guess my alternatives are topical finasteride mixed with minoxidil, topical spironolactone and saw palmetto.

How much finasteride should i put in 60ml minoxidil bottle is there even limit on that, and whats with the side effects while on topical?

And one more, is there any good online shops for saw palmetto its bit expensive in drug store close to me.

The side effects of topical finasteride are probably going to be the same as a low dose of oral finasteride. Topical Finasteride is a mystery, but it is shown to go systematic in at least one study I've seen. And that is probably the only way that it would help with hair-loss (if it does at all). That being said, it would be easier to just take a smaller dose of oral finasteride, or stretch your dosage out over a couple of days.

finasteride topically is systematically absorbed. How much is the real question.

There is no difference from oral and topical. They both work there way into your blood stream So if you want to get of finasteride due to the worry of long term use there is nothing to gain by going topical only as it will still work is way in the your system.

Even more so if your making your topical home made you also have he possibility to be absorbing more then you currently take orally.


Dr Lee's formula he sales has 1mg of finasteride in each 1ml of solution

Based of limited clinical reports Ive ready on the application of topical finasteride 30-40% is absorbed when 1mg is solidified in 1ml of a carrier agent like Alcohol.

Thus a twice day application of 1ml would yield between .6-.8mg of finasteride.

Now when you go to make your own formula its not as easy as crushing up pills as those bills are mostly bonding agents/fillers and not the actual active ingredient. The bonding agents or fillers could have an adverse effect when applied topically.
