Quit Proscar a year ago, thinking about going back toProscar

Hi there,

I'm a diffuse thinner.
I was on a Proscar regime for about 2 years and quit a year ago as I felt it wernt working, I continued to lose slowly when I was on it, even upto the 2 year mark.. Now since I've quit a year ago, I seem to losing a slightly faster than usual, or may its falling out the at the same rate, I cant tell though.. but I have thinned up pretty bad now and can see my scalp. I've also been using Dermatch for couple of years now.

I was thinking of going back to Proscar, and see if it does anything this time?
once a non respnder, always a non responder? what do you guys think? try it again?

If I do go back, I was thinking of using Fincar to save money.

To be honest, I think that if you aren't experiencing side effects then anyone on a hairloss treatment should be on finasteride. I say this because sometimes we may think it isn't doing anything but it probably is. Even if it just slows it down I take it as a huge plus. You really have nothing to lose besides some $$$ but there are options like generics and proscar which make it pretty damn cheap. Consider adding minoxidil and something else like revivogen or a copper peptide for added benefits.

I did get the usual side effects but they went away after a while. the only one that did annoy me was developing Gyno but it wernt too bad.. Im guessing it did slow my hairloss down a little. but its hard to say.. at the time if just felt it wernt doing anything as I continued to lose hair and could clearly see my head getting thinner and thinner.

I've just ordered some Fincar from United Pharmacy.. I'm hoping it goes well. I've also been wanting to add minoxidil but it'd
be a pain to apply as I use Dermatch every 2 days:/

Can you tell me how your propecia regime is holding out for you?

I'm doing decent. I think I'm just holding what I have which like I said is a plus but we always expect more out these things don't we, I got some regrowth during my first year but this past year I have just maintained. I wish I had started my regimen in 2005 instead of waiting till 2006 that way I wouldn't care about regrowth since I had enough hair. But whatever, whats done is done.
