your hair has improved do you mean in its texture, feel, or look ect or regrowth, if so where and by how much and how soon after you began finasteride?
sorry to ask but im excited about possible results!!
Texture/feel = Before starting treatments my hair felt and looked like dead "straw" or "grass". The only style that I could wear was the comb forward and I had to wash my hair frequently.
Look = My hair was always a rich shinny med brown. At my worst the hair was getting lighter and lighter (closer to dirty blonde).
Regrowth = I had diffused hairloss not the typical receding pattern. That is to say I didnt lose hair as much as the hair that I had became thinner and thinner showing more scalp and making it near impossible for me to wear any hairstyle other then the comb forward.
I did have some microscopic recession near my temples but nothing significant. I can say my hair definitely thickened up to the point I can wear it combed back with
nearly zero scalp showing. However, the recession areas (as minor as they were) did not regrow hair and, if anything, I might still be receding very slowing at the temples moving closer and closer to a NW2.
My results took me 8 months before I got any improvement. Before the 8 month mark I was still losing ground it seemed. After 8 months things
slowly started to improve. I noticed the greatest overall improvement on month 13 and 14.
I think finasteride is excellent in keeping what you have. For some men it can give some decent regrowth but it seems decent regrowth is the exception VS the rule. For regrowth I think topical minoxidil used with oral Finasteride is the best option.
I wouldnt expect to regrow all your hair with current treatments, but if you're a responder you can probably get moderate overall results which, overtime, will put you ahead of the game.
PS
Have you considered using Nizoral 2% shampoo in addition to Finasteride?
