I may have mentioned it on here before, but I don't think I have.
My total testosterone levels were tested in September 2007 and the doctor told me that my level of circulating testosterone(I think that's what he referred to it as) was 890 Ng/dl. He said that average for a guy my age is around 600 ng/dl.
I never got a testosterone test before starting Avodart, and I remember reading before starting the drug that the median increase in testosterone after 1 and 2 years on Avodart was 19%. I guess it's possible that my test level would be around 748 ng/dl without Avodart, but no way of knowing without stopping it, which I'm not doing.
Anyway, I have 4 questions issues relating to this
1) Is my total testosterone level of 890 Ng/dl, which the doctor said was quite high but still within the normal range,just on the very high end(range is supposedly 300-1000), is this total test level possibly contributing to my ridiculously high libido? Not to get into details or whatever, but hey CCS posts more embarrassing crap, so whatever. Is feeling the need to either have sex/masturbate 6-7 times a day normal for an almost mid-20s guy? My libido seems to be even higher now than it was when I was 16 or 17.
2) Is the high testosterone level the reason why I am able to maintain muscle so easily and also add it with little effort compared to other guys, or is it just a genetic thing?
3) How concerned should I be about this 890 ng/dl testosterone level as it relates to possible hair loss in the future? Obviously I realize that eliminating 99% of the type 2 5ar DHT production with Avodart probably outweighs any risks of the testosterone level, but what do you guys think?
4) Last questions, I promise. If my tesosterone levels are so high, then why do I have so little body hair and find it difficult to grow facial hair for longer than 2 weeks without it looking patchy-full beard is impossible? I guess that perhaps Avodart is suppressing body hair growth if DHT is the trigger for body hair? If that's the case, do you guys think that my body/facial hair will never get thicker as long as I am on the drug? I wouldn't mind.
