I've been using generic propecia (fincar) for over 2 months now. I take 1/4th of a pill (aprox 1.25 mg) a day, and lately have been skipping the fifth day.
Is this all right? Also, would a lower dosage, say something like 1/4th every other day work just as well? I've read some posts about people complaining about gaining tolerance. If this is the truth I'd rather use the lowest effective dosage possible.
As far as sides go from taking the finasteride, I noticed my nipple area was sensitive and my semen was watery, but those effects seemed to dissipate quite fast.
As far as hair loss goes, maybe i'm being a little overly optimistic for only being on the drug for 2 months, but I must say that I can't believe how little hair I'm loosing now. Is this normal for such a short amount of time?
People talk about shedding, but I don't see none, in fact, I think i was shedding before starting the drug. I have long hair down to the middle of my back, which makes it quite noticable when I'm loosing hair. It seemed as before starting the drug I'd find hair on the backs of my shirts all the time, would have numerous hairs come out in my hands when washing my hair, would find numerous hairs in my sink when combing my hair and there was a ton of hair always in my shower drain and sink drain.
Now when washing my hair maybe 1 or 2 at the most hairs come out. I also find hardly any hair in my comb. I'm just hoping this is a good sign that the drug is working
.
I also started using American Crew revitalize spray on my hair a few weeks ago. I still have quite a bit of hair and it being long makes it hard to get to the scalp. When using it I spray along my hairline and temple region and a little further back to around my vertex point (aprox. 12-14 sprays). Is this enough to be effective? I try to massage it into my scalp being it hits my hair mostly after spraying it, and also rub it in on the bare parts around my hairline. I'm just hoping I'm applying it appropriately so I get the maximum benefit from it that I can.
I try to use nizoral 1% atleast 2 times a week too for added benefits to my regimen. Anyhow, I'd appreciate any positive feedback from you users
