About late last year I started going to a gym while dieting, and ignorantly not on supplements vitamin wise. I had grown back hair lost from heridutary and stress by then, but after losing it in small clumps after losing over 25 pounds of fat in about a month and a half, my doctor told me it would come back but that I should still take in calories, supplimebts and protein.
At around February I had grown back most of it and started using protein shakes like whey, but in powder form most of the time. This continued on for a fee months straight until I lost a lot of hair at the end of May, to the lointthat when I got out of the shower my scalp looked almost as thin to the point it looked like a zebra (I have long wavy curly hair). I looked up online and it appeared that protein shakes can increase hairloss via dht. I quit them imediately and used anti dht things regularly like black tea now and then and nizoral shampoo. I take biotin every day as well as minoxidil even while this happened. For past 30 days I also kept shaving my head in hopes I could grow back even, and haven't shaved since the first of this month, and this again was first noticed over a month ago in late may.
Is this hairloss permanent? I've heard it can be, but quitting protein shakes and strenouos workouts at the sign of this can avoid the dht from wrecking the scalp, along with constant minoxidil use afterwards. Are there any bits of advice as well as info you could give me? I'm going to drink more black tea and also stick with getting protiens from food and avoiding stress, as well as taking a phyotworx supplement that once helped with hairloss that was bad a year ago, and a remedy I had for growing hair faster in the past called "hair surge." I have thinking in the back noticibly but that's mostly been there in the past, and when shaved hair is growing back the front is noticably thin at first.
Any advice and info on this is welcomed, and anything bits about avoiding mistakes like this in the futref. Thanks
