Questions On Dermarolling (also More Words Here In The Title)

I have a few questions I still feel seem kind of murky after reading up on dermarolling here:

1. Should I start out at .5 mm or 1 mm? Also would 1.5 or 2 be ideal for regrowth? Seems to be some disagreement.
2. I don't have any areas but the front of my temples that are totally slick bald, how can I use the roller without ripping the existing hair out? Haven't really seen this one answered.
3. Should I throw the roller away after every use? Should I sterilize with alcohol and reuse?
4. Should I wash the rolled skin immediately afterwards, or should I apply minoxidil first? From what I have read it would be ideal to shower first, dry, then apply minoxidil.

I want to get started this week, so feedback is much appreciated!

Refer to both of these guides made by experienced members.

If you're rolling the scalp, I doubt you'll get any results with anything less than a 1mm.

Also for future reference, this is the new research and studies section so you might want to ask your questions in the correct part of the forum if you want them to get answered.

Sorry I wasn't sure where to place this and it seemed like a lot of derma rolling threads were here. Admins please feel free to move.

I also miss some feedback from members who have derminators. Is it worth it?

If you want to perfect your dermarolling session and optimize it (less pain, better needling and precision, avoid micro-tearing) : yes
If you don't give a f*** and only do it once a month/every two month and you're not dedicated on it : no.

1. There is no astonishing differences between 0.5 and 0.8mm. 1mm is better. 1.5 is even better and is the recommended depth.
If you have the balls to go even further beyond at 2.5mm, good luck with the pain. But you will be even more rewarded, there is huge differences between 1.5 and 2.5mm. And also huge differences of frequency.
2. Check in Sucess Stories. There is 2 guys who're showing that you must push back your hair and dermaroll 10 to 20 times left/right and then up/down and diagonally.
3. No. You should clean your skin and sterilize carefully your roller. If you take care of it, you should
4. You should wait that your blood dry and then use minoxidil or LiCl. Dont shower

This my humble advice

I dermaroll every week, but no results. I've used my dermaroller as a stamp for most of the time lol. Was thinking about derminator, but its probably hard to use for diffusers like me

No it's the contrary : it's easier to use derminator when u re diffuse, dermaroller is more difficult to roll on diffuse thinner.

I have 3mm buzzcut and the "unusual" type A pattern(not slick bald though) and dermaroller is easy to use and more importantly you are sure to take care of the whole area.
derminator is effective but it has a very limited number of needles. IMO It's perfect for early stages on the norwood scale, but for people with diffuse all over the norwood 6 or unpatterned for example this would be nightmare to treat the area and to be sure they actually treat the whole area...
(if you do it yourself obv but if a third person helps that's a different story ^^)

Of course, you have very short hair it's easier.
Derminator microneedles faster, safer and more properly (less pain) and efficiently than manuel dermaroller, you don't need 10000+ needles since it goes fuckin fast. You can see yourself videos of it or go on their website
It calculates the amount of time needed to treat the whole area you set your depth and here you go. You hold it perpendicular which allows to have less hair ripped off.

But I agree it's easier to dermaneedle when you have short hair
