Questions About Poly Perimeter + Ghostbond [platinum]

After a few months of my using systems w tape, I began developing bad reactions - which really no amount of scalp protector's been able to shield against.

This, of course, is very disappointing as I find tape to be extraordinarily easy to use.

I ordered Ghostbond XL & Platinum, and thus far have only tried to platinum.

I have no idea how I'll be able to manage applying the liquid adhesive to my scalp with any degree of accuracy; when I used tape I'd apply to the base of my unit, spritz with alcohol then throw the unit on like a hat, making fine-tune adjustments as needed.

When I tried glue, whose stickiness is extreme, I figured if I applied it to my poly perimeter, allowed the white glue to go clear, and apply the unit to my head, I'd be fine.

And maybe I would have been. But I took a shower immediately after application, and the unit began sliding like hell.

Finally it firmed up again, but by night'd end it was barely attached to my head. So I cleaned up & have gone back to Got2B for now.

Do you gents think it was applying the White Glue to the poly perimeter that caused the problem or the immediate shower, or both?

I noticed when I applied the glue to the poly, it took longer to dry than it did when I test-sampled it on my skin, despite my using thin, even layers....

Apply glue to your scalp first and let it air dry for 5 mins. Then apply a little glue to the poly and wait until it goes clear. Then put the unit on, press firmly for a few seconds. The timings might differ for you, but in general this is what I do. And I only apply one, sometimes 2 layers, on my scalp.

Don't shower the hair for at least 24 hours. If you have a body shower, keep the water cool so that hot steam doesn't weaken the fresh bond .

Shower a few hours before if you need/want to.

No, you just cant shower for 24 hours after the first time you bond.

Put the ghost bond on head and only one layer on the polly

You need to buzz down the area on your head where the polly goes, also can you send me a few photos of the ghost bond, there are alot of counterfeit knock offs out there that wont stick properly

I mean, actually, I may. The things they ask you to look for are so hard to detect. The writing is very small.

I went into a beauty supply today and when I saw the real ones, noticed their bottles were entirely better done.

No wonder it took me 1.5 hrs to get that sh*t off my poly...

@Nostab2 As in, it doesn't take much effort to attach. I put it on my head; make minimal adjustments, and I'm golden.
