Guys:
Great forum you have here. Thank you for letting me be a part of it. Quick question for you guys:
I originally started going bald at about 22. My hair started getting thin and a bald spot was forming at the crown and toward the front (above the temples). The thinning was noticeable enough that my mother actually mentioned it to me and asked if I thought I should get on propecia.
Well, I did and it worked wonders. I get a lot of hair back, a full head of really good hair. I was never self conscious about it again. I stayed on propecia for 9 years. Then, when my wife and I got pregnant with our first child, I got off of it. I heard it was possible that it could cause birth defects so I stopped cold turkey. My daughter is now 2 and 1/2 yrs old and healthy and happy as can be. And my wife and I just had our second child in December, also happy and healthy!
Now that we are done having children, I started propecia again a month ago (as my hair loss is noticeable again in the same spots - it definitely degraded over those 3 yrs).
My question is, will the propecia work again? Will I see the same results as I did last time? All told, I was off the medicine for 3 yrs and am now more than a decade older. Hair loss wise, I am currently in the same or a tad bit better shape than I was when I originally started propecia at age 22.
What do you guys think? Will it work again? And about how long until I see some results (9 months or so?)
Thank you.
