I've read up on minoxidil and been on the fence for a little while. But after reading a study that minoxidil on its own keeps some above baseline for 1-2 yrs (and in rare cases up to 5 yrs), I feel reassured that it's worth trying out. I however will at the very least use a topical AA, which if that doesn't work, I want to try finasteride in small doses.
Anyway, what I wasn't able to glean from the first couple pages of "growth stimulants" threads is what happens when you stop minoxidil for short periods of time (e.g. you're flying somewhere and can't bring your minoxidil b/c of TSA guidelines). I'd like to hear your anecdotes - did hair shed at an accelerated pace? It's something that I think finasteride alongside minoxidil would prevent from happening, but again, I'm not sold on finasteride vs topical AA just yet and it just seems easier to miss applications with topicals. I realize this comes across as lazy, but logistically it would just make my regimen fit my day-to-day better.
