Question of Miniaturization/Thiining in crown

I'm sure that this was probably covered before and if it was, could someone provide a link but anyone who has or had or know about this us, are there some visuals that you can describe when this happens? Reason I'm asking is recently on the left top area, crown I guess, the hair is looking much shorter & smaller in that area when I close up in the mirror and also from a distance, looking in the mirror, it looks like a darker patch on top with maybe some reddish showing up in the area?

Yeah I figure it was probably this & thanks. Just for in the future though, like what are some of the signs of miniaturized hairs?
