Question about Vellus Hairs

I may asked this question, but since 2 years ago I have noticed vellus hairs on my temple that can be seen by sunlight. In lights, I can see my hairline is still there. When I was using Revita, they were more noticeable in the sunlight. I still have my hairline, it's just not making thick hairs.

Does this mean my frontal hairs were killed so much by DHT, they can only produce vellus hairs? I'm not knowledgeable on this.

Thats what I'd say DHT is causing miniturisation of those hairs.

I agree with you on that s.a.f. It's just weird, I thought those hairs were gone forever, but I was naive about how hair loss starts. I still have a hairline, it's just weakened by DHT. I look at both my grandfathers, they may be an nw5 or 6. But they have tons of vellus hairs on their hairline. You have to see it in the light.

wait, so once hairs become vellus hairs they have no chance at becoming terminal hairs anymore ???????? i thought through rogaine and propecia the minituarization could be reversed and all the hairs would turn terminal again. That is if your one of the good responders.

depends on how much dht is present around that area

4 months after i started propecia, on my lower left temple..vellus hair that developed 2 years prior started to darken.

I'm at month 10 now and those hairs turned terminal.

but other places i still see the same vellus hairs and nothin has changed

so u'll have to wait it out n see...

hey ps1freak, I've been on propecia for about 8 months and rogaine about 7. The vellus hairs i had at my old hairline are long gone now. seems like i'm losing at the battle at the hairline. spironolactone seems to make things worse too. My hairline is the only thing that I want to keep in its place and is most important to me. You think its time I start avodart?????? I don't want anymore of my hairline to go. Anybody, I need advice real bad.
