Hey everyone, I have receding temples and a widows peak. With the recession occuring my widows peak was about a full inch or so from the base of my temples. I recently started to tweez about 10-15 hairs from the end of the widows peak to make my hair easyier to style. It looks fine but am curiuos if the occasionally tweezing (maybe twice a month) will have any negative imact on the surrounding area of hair. Anyone have any insight on this. I don't think it will considering alot of people tweez some of their eyebrows and the rest doesn't fall out, but just wanted some other opinions. Thanks :D

hhmm

i read in one hair loss book, tweezing can increase hair, because it sends blood to the roots when its aggitated. I started to tweeze the middle of my head peak to make the sides seem fuller. well it looked good, like you about 15 hairs or whatever. it made my hairline more symetrical.

but then i read somwhere that it might actually hurt the follicles, so i stoped, and was using a razor instead.

youll have to do more research

Thanks for the reply, I have researched the heck outta this and haven't found squat!!! I shaved it for a while but it is a pain in the arse to do deal with and I spike my hair in the front so it is kinda obvious. Any one else have thoughts. I guess I prolly will keep doing it and pray for the best :hairy:

I was under the impression if you keep tweazing the hair becomes weeker, it certainly does for eye brows.

i was reading up on hair tweezing, eyebrows, hair growing back and stuff, one book i have ill post it soon, talks about tweezing to increase hairs, i tweezed the white hairs for a bit, and thought i saw them coming in thicker, but i just stoped after i read somewhere it might weaken them.

keep researching!

Thats o.k. because I don't want the ones im plucking anyway :) Like I said I have a widows peak that sits atleast an inch below the temples so the few i pull help with styling thats all. I was just curious if it affects the surrounding hair negatively but I don't think it does really. Maybe I just have to much time on my hands  :D
