So basically for the past month and a half I started taking a Retanoid topical gel (differin) for my acne, and while it DID help make my skin smooth as hell and reduced pimples, I noticed that my hair began shedding much more than it ever has in my life and today I took a shower for the first time in 3 days and I was shedding like crazy, from counting I estimate I lost about 180 hairs. The thing is, my hair is shedding from EVERYWHERE, front, back sides so I don't think it's male pattern baldness (besides my family has no history of it) and this started right around the time I started using the medication. It's not noticable on me yet but I still worry it could get worse.
My question is, can hair loss from retanoids be reversed? I stopped using it today. While I did enjoy the smooth skin and reduced acne, I would much rather have pimples then lose my hair. My acne wasn't really that bad to begin with. I'm using Cre-c shampoo to help bring my hair back. Will that help?
