question about modafinil (Nootropic) cause shedding ?

good day
I've been on modafinil (Nootropic) since march 2021 ,,,i noticed increased shedding in june until now ,,,i stopped modafinil ,,,the shedding is less now,,,but still shedding
around 60 hairs a day when washing ,,,,,,does anyone has a similar experiance ? and does the hair that was shed with modafinil ,,,,will come back ???

I've seen anecdotes about this but no good explanations. Perhaps its related to how modafinil affects dopamine. Dopamine agonists are known to cause hair loss. Or maybe its due to the increased histamine release. I don't know.
If you have androgenic alopecia, the hair will probably grow back but in a gradually more miniaturized state. If you don't have AA, the hair will very likely grow back.
